2016 Holiday Baking
Homemade cookies can take a lot of time – and certainly a lot of love. But my almost 30-year favorite is a no-bake recipe with only four ingredients and four simple steps. I spent countless years making Butterscotch or Chocolate Candies with my mom every holiday season, which means love is still the main ingredient. Recently, my best friend, Kelly, asked for the recipe she knows is a constant on my holiday baking list and it inspired me to share it with all of you. These sweet, crunchy morsels of deliciousness are a must try!
Butterscotch or Chocolate Candies
Makes About 3 Dozen
Ingredients
1 pkg. (12 oz.) butterscotch or chocolate morsels*
½ c. creamy peanut butter
2 c. corn flakes
1 c. flaked coconut
*For the chocolate candies, I prefer dark chocolate morsels. But any chocolate variety will work – pick your favorite!
Directions
Using a double boiler, melt morsels and peanut butter over hot, but not boiling water.
Remove from heat and mix well with corn flakes and flaked coconut.
Drop by teaspoon on parchment lined cookie sheets.
Chill in the refrigerator until set, and then transfer to an airtight container.
